Work is progressing quickly and we're nearing the final assembly stage.  Cal welded on the car for another week and I helped with fabrication of small components when I could.  We had another good thrash day on a Saturday: Bunny, Jeff and Andy came out to help too.  The rear-end is complete.  Rear half of the fuel system is done and the front half has been thought out, just waiting on a few components.  A lot of time has gone into little details to help with assembly and maintenance in case something needs to be pulled off the car in a hurry and swapped.

The spare tire well was cut out and a sheet metal box was fabricated to house batteries, meth tank and miscellaneous electrical items.  Then the interior was painted red.

Window safety net is installed and the floor of the car has been welded, seam sealed and painted.

The engine is coming together as detail items like the fuel pressure regulator, fuel hoses, oil lines, etc are being routed.

Lots of little things have been done that no one would notice...  We had to modify the throttle body actuator since it's meant to point towards the passenger side and not forward.  You can also see where the fuel pressure regulator was mounted on top of the elbow.

Transmission coolers are mounted where the fog lights once were.

Intercooler is barely noticeable behind the bumper cover.

The rear end was fully welded since it got new coil over shock mounts and new a new Team Z swaybar was installed, new brake lines were bent up.

Now that the interior welding is done and everything has been painted, wiring will enter the final stages as things like tail lights and the steering column will be wired in.  A lot of planning has gone into wiring so I anticipate everything will go smoothly there.  Then we'll move onto the detail things like installing carpet, finishing up the fuel system, wiring in the batteries and plumbing the wastegates and blow off valve.
