Well, it's been since February since we've had an update on the project, things have really been moving lately. Great progress has been made on wiring and the roll cage, but there have been some other big developments too. The biggest change to the project is that the car grew another turbo...  The project started with a single TC-76 turbo, but the engine outsized that turbo on the engine dyno, so a Precision Turbo PT-78 was purchased.  That has been the project plan since last Fall, but two 66-mm Borg Warner turbos have been lurking in the shop.  A few weeks ago the idea popped up and after lots of discussion, they made their way onto the car.  That means that in the past two week an ENTIRELY NEW turbo system has been built from scratch including two custom headers that Cal fabricated.  Read on for more info and pictures.

Roll cage is in process, but about 90% complete at this stage.  The old roll-bar was cut out and a new chromemoly cage was purchased.  New subframe connectors were installed that ties everything together.  In this picture all welds are complete except for the floor welds and the two rear bars where they attach to the floor.

Bunny prepped and painted the semi-finished bars and then all welds were completed.  This will leave less painting to be done inside the car and minimize any overspray that might occur.

Here's the cage from the front, still tipped down after having the rear bars welded in.
