After struggling to get the cam/crank sensors to sync up with the AEM box in this "non plug-and-play" setup, I finally borrowed some data acquisition gear so I could scope the signals coming from the sensors.  I was slightly off on my calibration and I would have to say scoping the signals like this would be an absolute must unless you're using hall effect sensors.  After tweaking some settings in the calibration and the sensors I was finally able to get the engine to sync with the sensors more reliably.

I'm working from a short list of "to-do's" before I can drive this thing.  Brakes need to be bled and a new battery thrown in the trunk and it'll be up to my buddy's house to get a custom exhaust fitted.  Anybody else up for the PowerTour in June?  Drop me a line and let me know if you're going to be there!
